Default CBR: Yost has "Spider-Man" Face the Fears of NYC

In Chris Yost and Mike McKone's "Fear Itself: Spider-Man," an overpowering fear worms it's way into the Big Apple and it's up to Spidey to save the city. CBR News spoke with Yost about the May-launching miniseries.

Is everything relating to Fear Itself going to sound uninteresting. I enjoy Yosts work but dear god, even the articles aboout Fear Itself are dull.

Looking forward to this, I'd like to know more about the event itself, though.

Glad to see McKone on Spider-Man. I was disappointed when all the best pencilers were phased out of ASM. McKone did outstanding work on Avengers Academy.

Looks that way The 2 page spread in this month's comics made me laugh when half of it was the different Marvel people involved just talking about how AWESOME/OMG!!1 it is going to be but no real info on why I would want to read it.

I cna't believe I'm going to completely by pass the big Marvel event but I have zero interest in it. My regular monthlies that tie-into it might also get passed over during it.

Yeah, Fear Itself really isn't grabbing me the way that Flashpoint over at DC is. Flashpoint just seems like a lot more fun- an interesting time travel story and having an alternate history take on the DCU. I really don't know what Feat Itself is about (The God of Fear is coming to earth? OK, I guess.) , or -more accurately- I don't really know why I should care as a fan. The ads really don't seem to give a good idea of what it's about. I think I might skip it, I'm that disinterested.

I don't hate it or anything. I just don't care enough about it to want to seek it out.

Internet posters denouncing a series before it's even released. Shocking

Yeah, how dare people give their opinion on the promotional material used to promote a series. I mean, it's not like that stuff is used to drum up interest in the series or anything like that.

marvel's promo on Fear Itself is weaker compared to other marvel events

thats said...I will get this series

I believe it will be much better than secret invasion spider-man and siege spider-man.

Yeah, my "cynical" nature of saying I'm not really for it one way or another.

    Settle down, will ya?

Unless Wacker says different its about a bad LSD trip.
Decided to not read posts that contain the words marriage, OMD, BND, and Mephisto. Why? I'm tired of it.

I just love that when people gush over a promo it's cool but when someone doesn't like the look of it, based on the same info, they are jumping the gun. Hilarious.

You won't really have a choice in getting the series if you want to read your favourite books. Then of course you need to get books you may not otherwise get where the story 'continues'.

But you never know, it could be good.

But whoever was in charge of the promos needs to be reassigned elsewhere because t hey just feel pandering and poorly attempt to create some kind of interest but then you get Parker looking at TVs and you just kind of roll your eyes.

I have never gushed over any promo. This is probably the first thing I've said about Fear Itself. know why? because it isn't out yet. I'm going to read the first issue because it's got a creative team I enjoy. promos are pointless in comics
