I'm very proud of Archie for introducing a gay character in their ostensibly child-rated series. I think it goes a long way to showing that homosexuality isn't something that needs to be hidden from children; they're people, not freaks looking to mutate your kids.

I haven't really read Archie since I was a lot younger, but between this and their recent approaches to digital distribution, I have nothing but respect for them at the moment.
