I'm in love with this series. The art (though sometimes a little... underdeveloped) lends the story a substantial amount of expression which evades many "slicker" styles.
I'm a week late, but Jepperd and Fat Man skating to the rescue is bar none of my favourite moments in the entire series. That was freaking awesome.
This is always one of my first reads when I get my comics. The twists have been good and the deveopment of character excellent. I would like to see the art more refined but the overall style fits well with the book.
Also, even if the artwork isn't the most polished, it's amazing how timely Sweet Tooth has been.
All written by the same guy and, apart from two short arcs, all drawn by that guy as well....and yet I don't think Sweet Tooth has ever been even one week late in its 32 issue run. It's always out, first week every month, like clockwork.
Given how much work Lemire does on this comic and the fact that he has a regular sized workload at DC in general, it's really goddamned impressive.
Just read the solicits for July. Looks like ST is coming to an end soon.![]()
Issue 40 will be the last one.

Space is disease and danger wrapped in silence and darkness.
Sad news today indeed... I have loved this series so far, and I can't wait to see how Gus and company's journey ends.
Thanks for the wonderful ride Mr. Lemire!
On the second trade. A couple questions. First, when the prostitute lady says she was there with jeppard said "she was taken" what does that mean. And does jeppard mean his wife when he says she? Second, who exactly is abbot, or is that explained later in the series?

I completely agree. It may now be a somewhat tired concept, but the story elevates it beyond the cliched realm of the post apocalyptic genre. It has a tremendous amount of heart, great characters and some superb art work. I have to agree, it is everything Y the Last Man wanted to be.
