I love it. He's definitely advancing the plot - he could have noodled around for another 20 issues without ever revealing anything had he chosen to. I guess he has good reasons to finish the series - don't stretch things out to make a buck because he can easily get another (higher paying) job, all the while making us happy by not stretching the story out.
This last arc was fantastic. I have absolutely loved the artwork. Are they water-colors? Regardless... it adds so much more character.
After loving Essex county, The Nobody, and Lost Dogs was looking forward to Sweet Tooth, and my how much better he has gotten stort/art ( and love the guest artists work, the coloring is great. So happy to see it still going. The taxidermist arc is great... and so on. A great comic for the medium. As someone who got into comic with the "indie" genre. Animal Man is now on my already too long pull list. Who knows maybe I can cross over a little bit.
i believe my first ever issue of Sweet Tooth was #24. even though i've read nothing else but the following issues- i must say it's a very good book. i caught the end of an arc w/#24, and that's okay- i think. knowing i've only missed 2 years of this title gives me a bit of solace, sort of. i've picked up titles well into their runs before.
i am a big admirer of lemire's style- in both aspects, that is! art&writing. but having missed 2 yrs makes me feel kinda stupid too, but the reason is is that i can't make it to the store every week- only every few months.
it's on my pull list now and as however long the ride- i shall enjoy it fully.

After a very interesting detour (with the third cover of the arc being down right creepy) we return to the main cast and it is great to see Gus, Jep, and the rest of the cast. I am glad that we got a few answers this issue and some great character work too. Sad to see Lucy really is sick, I was hoping it was just a tease, I really like her. I did love the reunion of Gus and Jep as well as Bobby and Mr. Johnny hanging out well Bobby was standing actually. But most importantly, spoilers:end of spoilers Another great issue, which doesn't surprise me at all. What did everyone else think?
I'm glad that the creepy Walter gets revealed to be what he truly is, I could never consider him a real good guy, he was just TOO damn creepy!

Just picked up the newest issue! I am honestly glad the Taxidermist is over though. Can't wait to get back into the story.
The Taxidermist was good, but I couldn't help but wonder what Gus and Jepperd were up to. The Taxidermist did sort of help shed some light on things though.
I felt the same way, but I am happy we got the Taxidermist story line. Lemire mentioned this was a story arc that wouldn't exist if it weren't for the extended life of the comic, which is always good, because it results in more Sweet Tooth comics! Though I'm very glad we are back to Gus and Jepperd.
