    Dwayne McDuffie, the acclaimed writer behind Milestone superheroes including "Static Shock" has passed away suddenly, just a day after the premier of his latest project, DC's "All Star Superman" DVD.

    My condolences to his family and friends.

    This is a major loss for the industry. I'm really saddened about this.

    Holy shit, that's terrible. I once shared a booth with him at San Diego. Great guy and under appreciated talent.

    My condolences go out to his family.
    There's no sense in nonsense when the heat's hot.

    Oh, man, this just came out of nowhere. The industry just lost one of its greats. RIP, Dwayne, you will be missed. I'm going to pull out my Damage Control issues when I get home, and remember all the great entertainment you gave me over the years.
