Default Smartest Woman in the Marvel Universe

So, I was having a discussion with a friend about who the 6 people are in the Marvel Universe who are smarter than Amadeus Cho, and I realized that, as far as I can tell, none of them are women.

So I started thinking about smart women in the Marvel universe, and I can't think of a single one who is in the same realm of smartness as, say, Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Tony Stark, Doctor Doom, etc.

Jen Walters went to Law School, that takes some smarts. Kitty Pryde was great with computers back in the day. But neither of them were even close to a Stark, or even a Banner.

Moira McTaggart was pretty damned smart... but she's dead, now.

As far as I can tell, Maya Hansen, creator of Extremis, is the smartest woman in the Marvel Universe right now.

Anyone think of any other contenders?

That would be knowledge not intelligence.

Is there really a practical difference? The kid that gets the best grades is usually considered the smartest when in fact they may just have the best memory skills.

The key is originality. Knowledge can mask as intelligence, but intelligence can bring about new ideas and solutions to problems, rather then rehashing old ones. I'd say that Emma is pretty damn intellegent as well, but she's nowhere NEAR the Reed-Tony-Hank trifecta.

Maya Hansen has proven herself more then a match for any man in the MU- I'd say she stands as the smartest woman we've seen thus far.
    I'm STILL with Iron Man.

How about the Deadly Nightshade who just recently appeared in the delightful "Modok's 11".

She's basically self-taight and she DID develop a serum to turn people into werewolves under her control....

Kitty Pryde's always been sharp. I might not be her biggest fan, but I gotta give her credit on that one. She always had a knack with technology.

Dr. Kavita Rao, creator of the mutant cure is also a high contender.

Clea's got to be bright to learn all the magic she did.

Moonstone's pretty intelligent with the psych degree and her manipulative streak.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head...

Two that come to mind right now are: Dr. Evelyn Necker, the female scientist who created Death's Head II cyborg (from the 90's British Marvel Comics) who impressed even Mister Fantastic with her genius (if not her morals); and Monica Rappaccini, current leader of Advanced Idea Mechanics (AIM) and mother of the female Scorpion.
