If this is a hammer for good, Ben most deserves it. As for fear, he's already been through the fear of having a teammate die, so Fear Itself will either make him stronger ("can't let Johnny down") or break him down further; I'm betting on the former.
Johnny Storm was dead; who is this resurrected Johnny Storm?
"Here, hold my Annihilus…" Johnny Storm, Fantastic Four #601
The teasers for this is starting to make me interested in picking it up. I was going to pass. Hmmm.

Am I the only one who these poster/teasers are turning off, from the event? I was actually sort of excited for "Fear Itself" but I'm starting to feel less so, as I get the feeling these posters are for a bunch of inconsequential tie-ins, mostly...

That hammer looks kind of Colossusy. Honestly, at this point, I don't know that my theory holds any water at all. I'm still lost on the Jugs/Herc/Loki teaser. Maybe the leather on the hammer relates to Herc? Maybe not at all. I know one thing for certain. I will be watching this video each time I read a new issue of Fear Itself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-ulinxeXL4
That expression on Ben's face is just a little odd, but this is still definitely gearing up to be an exciting event. This is the most meat tenderizer-ish of all the hammers yet.
The thing is, if any of them actually bothered to arrive there earlier, they wouldn't be having all these problems wondering about who was worthy.
Well this teaser sure proves that Thor gets taken out of the event very early and that these 3 guys, are the strongest ones left on the mortal plan, given that Hercules and Juggerunat are mystical characters.
So surely this is a test ot see at last who among them is the strongest mortal there is.![]()
If you take away the image of the hammer, it looks like they could be doing a street game of shooting craps.
"...Doom's enemies have not the mettle to challenge him host to host, tooth to nail... As economic and military options fail them, they resort to simple rudeness."
They're raising my interest level because I can start to see how they're going to build a crossover around this concept. We've moved from vague mentions of "fear" and this new villain character to slightly more concrete ideas of how it's all going to work.
As far as the tie-in thing goes, I get the sense that whichever characters are going to get these hammers are going to be the connective tissue between the main series and the tie-ins.
