He was my favorite choice. I think he can make Iron man 3 into a good movie.

Wait, the question mark still makes this in the exact same spot as the previous story. Is he director? I dunno, maybe.

Not my preferred choice. Watch out the toilet, Rhodey.

If both of them deliver like in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, I will literally explode with titillation.

Jon left to work on more Disney centric movies personally I like Shane black better. Favreau can do some ok build up but the endings of both movies sucked using an idea of existentialism. I feared if favreau made IM3 we would just see the mandarin in what??? You guessed it his OWN armor to fight Tony SMH.

I think it means the lawyers and agents haven't finished going over the contracts yet.

Considering they haven't even started filming Avengers yet, is it really necessary to have the IM3 guy signed soon?

Um yeah. Iron Man 3 is due May 2013. And they probably want to get a script finished by the end of the year (even though I guess Iron Man 1 and 2 barely had scripts). They are already talking about Cap 2 coming July 2013.

I think he also didn't want to have to deal with other Marvel Universe stuff. And I think he also probably wanted to pursue a bigger paycheck considering how tight Marvel keeps their budgets.

God I hope they take a break from that. Bring on Fin Fang Foom I say.

You want to know how to avoid the armor route with Mandarin, not cheese out the concept, have it fit in the world the movies created? Look to Zeke Stane. Mandy has wetware enhancements, a la Zeke or Extremis. The rings are the control devices.

    Pretty decent choice.

Just hope RDJ has the influence over the Avengers franchise that he does over the Iron Man films.

Either way, with Whedon and the helm there should be no worries.
