Isn't it bad enough that there are two Batman, do we have to have them collide? I just want some damn Batman stories by himself, leave Nightwing in his own books.

I love how it's the Batman Inc era being ushered in and there's praise for Finch's work, yet both books are already preposterously delayed, which isn't really touched on.

Half looking forward to Dick being the main player, half-disappointed--Snyder's done such a good job with Dick that I'm curious as to how he would handle Bruce. Hopefully he appears in come capacity.

Although I totally disagree with your opinion on the status quo, I feel obliged to point out that Finch's Batman book will give you stories with Bruce working by himself.

My guess is a guest artist and/or writer to do the second arc so Finch can catch up.

I have to agree with the guy that said, "must we have the two Batmen collide" ?
I'm enjoying Grayson as Batman, but realize that eventually it's only going to be Bruce as Batman.
How they go about doing it, is the interesting part.So I'm looking forward to the stories.
Just hope that DC gives the Dick Grayson character the respect that he deserves...
By the way, I do love Bruce as Batman.

Would it have been too much for the interviewer to ask Marts (who would know more than anyone else) if Cassandra Cain has any role to play in the new Batman Inc. set-up? The sidekick question seemed like a perfect point to bring it up and, to be honest, there's been (MUCH) more discussion on the lack of Cassandra than there was about the Muslim Batman/Nightrunner thing (outside of a handful of right-wing blogs). Marts doesn't have to give details but it would be nice to see evidence that Cassandra still has a role in Editorial's mind beside hints from Fabien and Gail and 3 page cameo in one issue of Red Robin.

I would love to know exactly how you define "evidence."

You do realize we work MONTHS in advance, don't you? I hand in a story outline for 6-12 issues and our scripts are written months in advance of shipping.

So if I "hint" Cassandra will be appearing in RR again (and I don't know if I hinted it so much as actually just said it), then that could mean anything from 4 to 12 months from the time you read it in an interview or message board.

As it so happens, I'm one script away from getting to it, but I'm not going to tell you what issue # the script is for. :-)

The only "evidence" we can ever really provide you are preview art pages for promotional purposes or an actual printed comic book.
