Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
I read book VII when it came out and am now trying to redo it via audio. I am struggling mightily to get into it. I don't know if its because I don't care because of how disappointing I remember book VII being outside the ending or what.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.
I've listened to the whole series on audio books about three times now (and read through them more times than I can count.) I do think it's worth it to get the versions read by the author, if you can find them.
But I don't have the hate for the last three books that so many people seem to have.

So King recently published a new Dark Tower book, "Wind through the Keyhole". I know that it is set between books 4 and 5. I've only read the first four books. For those of you that have read the new book, would you recommend that it be read before going into books 5-7? Or would that mess up the series in terms of spoilers or whatever else?

It can go either way. After coming off book 4 you may want to go ahead to book 5 to see the story progress. "Wind through the Keyhole" is basically just 4.5 and it's mostly a flashback of Rolands early years and then the telling of a fairy tale inside the flashback. If you go ahead and read 4.5 before 5 you won't be running into any spoilers.
Pull List: Ghostbusters, Saga, Invincible, Guarding the Globe, Cyber Force, Hellboy in Hell, Punk Rock Jesus and Happy
No, I haven't seen it. I've collected all the comics individually to get the back stories/histories of Mid-World.Tik have you seen Marvel's Dark Tower Omnibus?
EEEEEEEEEEE! YOU DONT DARE MOCK ME! YOU DONT DARE! EEEEEEEEEEE!
The Wind Through The Keyhole isn't a bad read, I was a little wary of reading a new book inserted halfway through a series that I love but it was actually a great feeling to be reading something new about old loved characters. There was only one small thing that felt slightly out of continuity with the later books, for me anyway others may not read it the same way, but it was such a small thing and so nicely handled in this book that I thought it actually added to the overall story.
I loved escaping for a few hours with old friends once again and I wouldn't object if King decided that they told a few more camp-side story's worth reading.
Good God man! Why are you slapping a monkey.
Foley, Stop healing the assassin!!!
Is there any mention of The Horn Of Eld in the new book? That might explain any continuity problems.
The dreams and ideas of free men are as an army of shadows, and as impossible to strike down...
"Yes, you're better than you ever were, but I'm still me."
The Wind in the Keyhole was probably the best book in the series since Wizards and Glass from an enjoyment standpoint. It didn't add particularly much to the series, though. It was kind of an enjoyable read that happened to nominally include Dark Tower characters.
VIVA KUSASAN!!! Morrison On Magneto: I made him into a stupid old drug-addicted idiot. CC had done a lot of good work over the years to redeem the character. And I went in and sh*t on all of it.
OK, so about half way through rereading the whole lot. Enjoying as it was so long ago I first read them. Nearing the end of Wizard And Glass, and I have to say this for me has to be one of his best stories ever. The love interest, finding out more about Roland as a child, the slow build up of the action. It's astonishing.
