Given the sales of the Chaos War one-shot, it'll last 6 issues tops. 12 if they manage to tie it in to everything under the sun.

The big announcement is Alpha Flight?

    Well, good for them.

I'm assuming it's a Fear Itself tie-in, in which case it's probably good for at least eight.

This absolutely explains the dearth of X-books!
This just in: Chris Sprouse has pulled out of Orson Scott Card.

Written by Greg Pak & Fred Van Lente. Art by Dale Eaglesham. A maxi series.

Such a shame they couldn't have kept Phil Jiminez around for this. He would have been perfect for it!

Makes you wonder who's writing it, if they think it'll last. Is this gonna be Ed Brubaker's "Next Big Thing" Book?

Well, it's certainly a better choice than who they got for the Chaos War One-Shot. So we'll see.

Sweet. They had me intrigued with "Alpha Flight," but sold with "Dale Eaglesham." I'm definitely going to give this one a shot.

So, I take it they're back from the dead?
Eh, I'd prefer an all new Alpha Flight team. The originals are fine I guess but I prefer it always when comics actually try something new.

Well I hope that the team gains a chance to meet up with Michel Pointer during the event.

And also an appearance by Wolverine.

I could not be more excited about this. Original Alpha Flight by FVL and Pak. Heck, I am even glad it's a mini (maxi... whatever), that way at least they can tell the story they want to tell without fear of it being canceled.

Can't wait to see what other announcements come from this.

They have tried a new Alpha Flight team three times now, and each time it has failed... and each time the fans have said, we don't just want a team with the name Alpha Flight on the cover, we want the originals back... and now we have them... very excited!

What i would like to see is Canadians in control of the story lines and such. and make AF more of a Avenger to the north. More characters and such.

Well, just cause it's announced as a Mini or a Maxi, doesn't mean it can't get cancelled before the run is up.

It's happened before with other books. So never assume that it can't happen again.
