Less interested in this entire event I could not be. For the 1st time in years I won't even bother with the main mini of a huge event.
Nothing I've read about anything Fear Itself-related sounds remotely interesting to me. This hasn't changed that.
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
So no ASM tie-ins this time around for this event.
I mean doesn't Dan Slott have any plans for tieing the series into the Fear itself event ?![]()
Seriously I still don't know the premise of event...I only read spiderman. Who is their enemy? People in fear or villain creating fear into the heroes. I hope spidey does significant in this event... No more secret invasion spider-man pls.
First off, that cover looks great.
Second, an 'Event' tie-in mini series that isn't $3.99?! I am shocked Marvel.
So long as Chris Yost is writing it, a certain caliber of awesome is to be expected. I haven't read many Spider-Man comics since OMD, but I plan on reading every book associated with Fear Itself including this one. Some may be tired of all the events, but I could care less so long as the events are of good quality. I liked Siege. I liked Civil War, House of M, and Secret Invasion too. Fear Itself seems to be built around giving these characters very human and vulnerable qualities. Spider-Man has always been the everyman of the Marvel Universe. I look forward to seeing how someone like him will take part in Fear Itself.![]()

With Chris Yost writing this I might buy my first 616 Spider-Man book since OMD.
So far nothing in this Event says me anything. I may try it out if the reviews are good, but if not I'm probably just gonna read spoilers.
Oh and I think I'm gonna skip the Spider-man mini
In the middle of the night...
Why did they get the team that does Avengers Academy? Hmm. Either way, this is going to be good, because that title has really been amazing. Both Academy and ASM have been really good lately. So I might pick this up.
And in Fear, Itself, they are facing the god of fear who showed up in WWII. Sin's also in it, as well as Dracula and Phobos (finally, some lesser known characters).
Yeah, this thing just isn't doing it for me. They're really not marketing it in a way that will get me interested. Their entire strategy seems to be to tell people, "Yo, bad shit is about to go down." Well...yeah. It always does. What is the bad shit? Who is doing it? Why do I care? Look at Blackest Night. They had a hook. Zombie superheroes and supervillains. That is a hook. That's all you need to know. Green Lantern and all his buddies fighting zombies. Or look at Secret Invasion. Everyone you know might be a Skrull. See Spider-Man? For the past 20 years, he might have been a Skrull. That makes me interested. Where is the hook for this? There's a difference between being mysterious and being vague and uninteresting.
