That's awesome, and at the same time ultimately sad if that cartoon turns out to be better than the live action movie as it would be a case of would could have been.

The last GL animated movie was superior to the live action movie

Have you seen the live action movie yet? Was there some early release I'm unaware of?

Wouldn't be the first time. Batman the Animated Series was better then most of the Batman movies. Clone Wars is better then the prequels.

Honestly tv can be better then movies on a story and character level. There's more room to breath over the course of a half hour show over 12-20 episodes a year. And since it's animation they can deliver a decent spectacle as well.

EDIT: I just realized this was another DTV. I thought this was going to be CG cartoon series. Who's voicing Hal in that?

It didn't win me over. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt until it's released.

Just to go all Comic Book Nerd for a sec, Hal's supposed to be from Northern California. What's he doing with the hick accent?
The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!

Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!

In other words, what StoneGold said.

Yeah, but that's still jumping the gun. I hated the Iron Man trailer, but it's one of my favorite superhero movies.

I want GL to be a good movie but the trailers made the movie look pretty lackluster. That and the buzz surrounding the movie haven't been great. I will check it out due to the movie having Ryan Reynolds but not going in with such high expectations.

I think it's just the way I sort of picture most military men, in my mind they all have that kind of earthy mid-western kind of accent so for me Fillion fits that interpretation of Hal.

I want to clarify that I'm not condeming the live action film before seeing it, I merely meant that if the movie is lack luster and if the cartoon is good it would seem a little bitter sweet as Fillion was my favorite for Hal and I'll wonder what it could have been if he ha gotten the role.
