I'm thinking that's Martian specific as he's never ever used it against humans, even when battling Ocean Master for Atlantis or Black Manta for his dying infant.

He doesn't use it because of PIS. His telepathy isn't anti-martian only. They work on any marine based creatures, including humans.

I would agree with PIS if he had used it more than once in his entire 6 or so decades publishing history, or even if he had used it against a human once...

I'm agreeing with this. I don't think he's used it enough to make it consistent, unless someone posts like 5-6 feats of him using it on humans.

So, he's used telepathy along with J'onn on Despero (and got his ass kicked, the point was he used it), White Martians, the Martian Manhunter (which should be out of his pay grade, though it's not actually as though he fried the guy's brain or anything, but if we're just doing 'can Aquman use telepathy on a wide variety of things..), Random Aliens, Dragons, Milennium Giants, Starro, dazing Steel (not John Henry Irons, the guy on the Detroit League who had the name before him who got killed by Ivo's robots), screwing with Vixen's head, more random aliens..

This is excluding more out there pre crisis whackery like animating Superman's body with telepathy and long distance contacting Captain Comet.

But apparently, the idea of him using telepathy on humans, that's crazy, his telepathy hasn't affected a variety of things after all, including humans.

Given a mod-ruling has been requested, I'd say the above examples (which include humans along with sundry other beasties who aren't even found on earth) rather solidify the fact that, barring points to the contrary, Aquaman's telepathy will work on humans.

Can gas actually affect Aquaman? Does he even need to breathe or is it he can breathe water and air but nothing else kinda thing?

He's been in space without being shown with something to help him breathe as I recall but... eh.. I found that kind of crap at the time. I recall guy needing to breathe the various things he breathes/processes most of the time.

I was under the impression that the Hyperclan was mindcontrolling the majority of Earth's population at one point during the comic? Seeing how tough J'onn is, I would expect the average Martian to still be outside of Arthur's paygrade IMO.

He's used offensive telepathy on wierd alien dragon crap, bodiless entities, King Shark, Vixen and Steel and a variety of others. And Despero, though again, that was a telepathic battle he and J'onn got spanked in.

It stands just fine in the rest of that.

He just knocked them out with a thought? Because that's what he did with the Superman level power/ mega telepathic Martian. After that, his fighting pirates seems for more that a few seconds seems absurd.
