Default Batman takes down Diana with one kick... Batman Confidential # 53

I just read this on the DC MB and decided to see what are they talking about and I just had to snicker.

How sweet of him to go for her first but it's not as if Flash is the fastest man alive.

A kick to Diana's stomach? Ha should break his damn leg.

This is just so funny. I had to laugh. Batgod at his best. Taking down the powerful members of League in hand to hand combat in what a few panels?

Oh, that IS funny. The logic involved in choosing WW as mightiest. The "shattered knuckles" thing. (Was his hand in a cast afterward?) And kicking her in her armor, yeah, that'll do the trick.

But Flash would have taken him out before he could get to her in the first place. A little fog stop Flash? Pardon me while I laugh loudly.

    Batgod.

It's so ridiculous that it actually seems like a parody of "Batgod."

Batman Confidential is such a ridiculous book that I can't even bring myself to be annoyed about this. LOL

And the thing is, its not even original.

Batman used the same gut-kick move thirty years ago to take out the Hulk by getting him to inhale gas.

Yes, you heard right. The Incredible Hulk. It was a special crossover issue.

And yeah, it was lame then, too.

That could easily pass as a fanfic.

Sometimes I wonder if it´s not a blessing that I never got in as a mainstream artist.

I may be a complete whore but sometimes I see things in the funnybooks that I don´t think I´d be able to bring myself to draw.

Hulk? He took down HULK with a kick to the stomach??

Oooh by it's nice to start the day with a laugh.

The batw**king continues. Gone are the days there were good stories and everyone respected every hero for what they could do so Batman could have every woman want him to boink them and perpetuate the myth that he can beat up every hero. It's funny here but you see it everywhere. This just makes it more glaring and more stupid.

And now its a race - who will be the first to post batw**king as an official wikipedia entry?

At least he didn't pull her top down so that she'd be out of the fight until she fixed it.

But that might have worked... and he could have given her a wedgie too.

Shouldn't J'onn have turned his brain to mush long before he even reached any of them?

Boy they really treat the Martian Manhunter like crap too, don't they?

The whole thing reminds me of Deathstroke taking out everyone in Identity Crisis.

Are you guys actually complaining about the plausibility of something Marc Guggenheim wrote?

    Ah yes, here's Gail's reaction:

I think we have a collision here of believability and viability.

It's not really believable that Batman ever outfights Superman or Wonder Woman, I believe. It's just not.

But, I think it's established that Batman is the one human guy who MIGHT figure a way to beat either one of them in a fight, through deception, strategy or whatever.

If it ever COULD be done, he's the guy that could do it.

So I don't mind this stuff, not really. I had Black Canary get the drop on Wonder Woman in a very unusual circumstance. But could BC beat up WW? No.

But could she get in a lucky shot or two, if the circumstances were right?

    Sure.

I'm not defending the Batkick or anything, but we all know that no matter how powerful Superman or Wonder Woman are it isn't impossible for your mere, average, mortal human to kill them!

Just get a gun full of kryponite bullets to do in Superman, and any piercing weapon to kill Wonder Woman.
