Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to join the cast of "The Dark Knight Rises," reuniting him with his "Inception" director Christopher Nolan and co-star Tom Hardy. His role in the film is currently unknown.

This after the recent rumors of Robin Williams being a 3rd villain in it and Bale saying he might be open to even another film after this one.
It's a goddamn great time to be a Batman fan...

He needs redemption for the G.I. Joe movie. I was kind of excited to see how he'd pull off Cobra Commander only for them to not really give him anything to work with in the script.

well, he probably won't have to carry it on his own. Catwoman and possibly the Gotham PD may serve as the opponents, though probably not the "villains," of the story. Originally Posted by Legato
If they are in fact basing the movie on the "Prey" storyline then I could see Levitt as Hugo Strange. But a young, sinister doctor would be too similar to Murphy's Scarecrow.
I'm betting Levitt is not playing a villain. Or, if he is, it will not be a traditional Batman rogue.
