Default CBR: Milligan Sharpens the Swords of the "5 Ronin"

In March, Peter Milligan and a bevy of talented artists kick off the weekly miniseries "5 Ronin." We spoke with Milligan about the project which reimagines five of Marvel's most dangerous characters in feudal Japan.

That ain't what I would have wished to read from mr Milligan...I hope he'll work with some of the artists he has there, but onto...something.

I don't think they had to say it. It was pretty obvious to me from the word "go".

I find it so strange that the interviewer thought Punisher was an odd pick. He's tailor made for a book like this. Frank is already like an American bred, generation X version of the Sonny Chiba or Toshiro Mifune ronin character.

Anyway, cool info and all. Can't wait to read the thing.
The Punisher, performing Bolt-Action brain surgery since 1974!

This is probably the title I'm most looking forward to so far. I liked Greek Street and I really like elseworlds stories so...

Hulk is probably the strangest pick.

    I disagree.

Lone traveller walks the countryside, cursed by his past.

If they look at the Hulk as an Oni spirit, even better.

Hulk is a perfect match, IMO. Man struggles to keep his inner self calm and centered, tries to avoid trouble, gets drawn into trouble by encounters with strangers travelling through towns.

In so far as the 70s/TV version of the character is concerned.
