Looks like Hell on Earth Vol. 4 will collect The Long Death and The Devil's Engine.
    Awesome! Thanks for that! :D

That's what I'm assuming for now, but it may be different yet.

Updated Upcoming Trade Paperbacks. They have the 1st of January 2013 listed as the release date, but Amazon usually lists the Hellboy stuff as coming out two or three weeks later than its actual release date, so it could come out as early as December.

Sorry about this so soon, but apparently when I looked earlier Amazon hadn't put everything up yet.

Also this: BPRD Plague of Frogs - Volume 4

Unrav, you may commence cries of joy.

    Everything's been updated.

By the way, how are they ever going to fit "B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: The Long Death and the Devil's Engine" on the spine of the trade?

Doubt they will. They'll just come up with a new name to cover both - like they did with some of the more mixed PoF-era trades.
Pulling: Whispers, 2000AD, Red Sonja: Unchained, Amala's Blade, Princeless

Yeah, that's what I'd think to. It's odd for Amazon to list it under the wrong name though. Meh, we'll see when we get solicitations.

So Sean Gordon Murphy has announced on Twitter he's been approached to do a story for B.P.R.D. or Hellboy. Judging by his tweets, I think it's safe to assume he accepted the job. Something to look forward to in 2013.

    UPDATE:
    Here's the tweet.

Or, what's more likely, DH have given them the details so pre-orders et al can be done, but will clarify certain things (exact release window, price, name, cover art, etc) later on.

Best to get it listed and then 'fix' it.
Pulling: Whispers, 2000AD, Red Sonja: Unchained, Amala's Blade, Princeless

Surprisingly, that is not the case. Max Fiumara is doing 1948, so it's anyone's guess what Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá are working on.

Interesting, all the evidence had been adding up, I wonder what that means they are doing. Slight disapointment too as I was hoping for the 1940s series would be able to keep an artists for a couple arcs in a row, but it should still look great anyways

He's been on my list of artists to do interior pages for a while now. He was actually the one on my list where I thought he'd never do it, since he's writing his own material now, but he sounds very eager, which is cool. It's strange, gradually each artist on my wish list of artists has been crossed off. All that's left now is Becky Cloonan and Francesco Francavilla, and both of them have already done covers.

Well, Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá were specifically chosen for 1947 because there had to be two distinct styles at play side by side for the story to work. I'm guessing this is not the case for 1948. Whatever they're working on now though, I assume it will also have two distinct styles existing side by side.

I'd just like to say how thankful I am for this thread. I've been been buying single issues of all the Mignolaverse titles since '04, but I only buy the trades (though I've recently decided to switch to those nifty hardcovers) for Hellboy - so there are several gaps in my collection with peripheral BPRD and Witchfinder stuff that I don't have because I don't buy the collections. With the help of this thread and others I've decided to rectify this.

Decided to not just go for the tpbs that contain this material because that would be boring:

BPRD Hell on Earth: Seattle (just got this)
Myspace Dark Horse Presents volumes 2-4 (just got v.2)
BPRD: The Dead tpb (for the short story - would rather get the "Wizard Premier Edition," but it turns out the trade can be got more cheaply)
BPRD: Being Human tpb (for "Casualties")

As we (fans and the industry as a whole) move more to trades and graphic novels this kind of Easter egg hunt will become obsolete. I recently (like, last week) decided to stick with my current pull-list but to trade-wait for any additional series. I toyed with the idea of switching with trades totally, but I decided that I've had to much fun following the "monthlies" of the few series I've followed for years.

Thanks for that. I try to keep this thread updated as much as possible. It's good to know it's of use to some people.

I think December is going to be a big month for the Mignola comics, and not just because Hellboy in Hell #1 will be coming out. I remember reading Scott Allie talking about how this year there will be as many as five books coming out in a single month. That'd be cool, of course, but at the time I thought it was probably an exaggeration. But December may be that big month. There's already Hellboy in Hell #1, B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: Return of the Master #5, B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: A Cold Day in Hell #2, and B.P.R.D.: 1948 appears to be on schedule to come out sometime 2012 so we'll likely have an issue of that too. That's four issues in a single month. And let's not forget there are many upcoming Lobster Johnson and Baltimore short stories coming up that could easily push that number up to five.

So, as big as the first half of 2012 has been, I get the feeling the second half is going to be even bigger.
