Just wanted to say thanks for this list! I'm at the end of Hellboy 4 now, so I'm glad I found this thread. Looks like I should pick up BPRD 1 next, since it was published when the stories that comprise Hellboy 4 were published.
You can go either way really, but if you do read BPRD 1 before Conqueror Worm, you should skip the first story in that collection, Hollow Earth. The early stories do have a bit of jumping back and forth between trades, but this becomes less of a problem as the series evolves. You don't have to read Abe Sapien versus Science before Conqueror Worm, but I think it's more satisfying to do so. It's a nice prelude, but not essential reading.

Played with the formatting a bit. All the information is still there, just in different places, mainly so I can have a single post dedicated to Future Projects.
Added B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: The Long Death into Future Projects.
Added The Transformation of J.H. O'Donnell, a one-shot story by Scott Allie and Mike Mignola with art by Max Fiumara. I'm not sure if it's a Hell on Earth title or not, but since it's supposed to be about why Professor O'Donnell became so crazy, I'm assuming for now that it's just a plain old B.P.R.D. title.

+B.P.R.D.: Plague of Frogs - Volume 3 (Hardcover) on sale April 4 for $34.99
Updated with the new BPRD projects The Devil’s Engine and Exorcism.
I'm still doubtful that The Transformation of J.H. O’Donnell is a Hell on Earth title since it's set 24 years earlier. It would make sense if it was a flashback within a modern framing sequence. We'll have to wait and see. I've got it listed as a Hell on Earth title now though.
UPDATE:
Found an article with this paragraph:
An additional one-shot currently scheduled for the B.P.R.D. is one fans have been asking a lot about since they heard rumor of it. Entitled The Transformation of J.H. O'Donnell, this story deals with the current events within the B.P.R.D. but is mostly a flashback story. "O'Donnell is a character from the book who appears to be completely nuts, and the reason he's nuts is he knows everything about the Lovecraft stuff," Allie said. "We've never explained why he's like that. O'Donnell and Hellboy went on a research mission back in the late '80s. It should have been a pretty simple thing, to retrieve some books from a necromancer who'd died. They go into the necromancer's house and get separated and all Hell breaks loose. O'Donnell went crazy that night. It was on a B.P.R.D. mission so they've taken care of him since then." But The Transformation of J.H. O'Donnell will show readers just what happened that night to drive O'Donnell over the edge.So I guess that answers that question.

Updates the trades section with The Devil Does Not Jest and Other Stories release date. Keep in mind, this information is from Amazon, so the release date is (as is usually the case) actually a month earlier. I'll change it when I get the real release date from solicitations.
Added further updates regarding the dates of The Long Death, The Pickens County Horror, The Devil's Engine and The Transformation of J.H. O'Donnell. Also updated the length of Exorcism from Cameron Stewart's tweet.
