No doubt it will be a unknown but I still hope Michael Jai White will be casted as Black Panther

This can be another big step for Black Panther if it done right. Blade Part 1 and Part 2 were awesome. - Snipes did and excellent job.
The big question here is who plays T'Challa?
I think its time for some new blood. And use an established actor to co-star (some kind of aid to T'Challa) to help help bring in the audience.Buy Black Panther/Captain America: Flags of Our Fathers

Taye Diggs might also be a good candidate for the role. He's got quite a few A-list (black) films under his belt. Plus he has that true African look that Jai White doesn't have. Originally Posted by Legato

Even Wesley Snipes can't round house kick taxes.
I'm kinda surprised they went with BP over Luke Cage though, seems like one would be easier to translate than the other.
But maybe they're hoping to catch a bit of the shine of the Batman films since he has a similar kind of premise and look (Short of the Panther god). But man, if I thought Iron Man didn't have any good villains, who does BP fight?
Maybe they'd use Dr Doom, but I think FOX own his rights.
Marvel....Marvel did not do a good job with their licensing.
