Ya know Steve... Strange, Xavier, Richards, and Namor we're all in it too.... Probably should yell at them also...
All stories are imaginary, so you get to decide what's important and what isn't. Continuity is fluid.

I'm no Stark-hater, but that was a fun browbeating.

Reed's Reed and Namor is always effing up. This is no surprise to Steve.
Strange has always kept mytic hoodoo close to his vest and I can't think of anybody who'd think trusting Xavier is a good idea at this point.
But Steve might reasonably figure that Tony might have spared 15 minutes of his time to brief him that he and his cohorts hid the infinity gems on earth. Steve might have thought that Adam Warlock was keeping them safe off planet.
Iron Man's the only one who's really been a longtime teammate of Steve's. So it makes sense.
Plus as others have said, Tony's the one responsible for so many problems as of late.
Not to mention, rather than tell Steve at the time what was going on... he ran off to gather the Illuminati again.
Instead of, you know, telling Steve and the rest of the Avengers, the people who could possibly protect the other gems before their aquired.

I say this every issue of Captain America, but they need to get the Nomad back-up out of there and get Epting back on the book. Not that the art is bad by any means, but I still think that's when the book looked its best. Other than that, I'm always really excited for the next Cap issue. Brubaker is amazing.

Does Tony really respect Steve, or is he maybe a bit jealous of him?
Tony has proved time and time again that he isn't going to play by Steve's rules, not when he himself can preserve the greater good... Looks like another Caps Ethics thread.
Check out the O.A.W. Report at www.majinoaw.blogspot.com. You want to see why I say the things I do or understand what's in my head... this is the place to go.
I can't see how Steve Rogers makes that statement, that he talked to POTUS about Tony Stark, and that Steve and Tony agreed that Tony try harder. Has anybody seen that in the books? I never saw it.
Visited NY and DC and saw Spider-Man Turn off the Dark.

Yeah, it is getting pretty tiresome to continually see Tony getting destroyed and blamed. Looks like yet another issue where Steve gets to show how great and wonderful he is while Tony can get some additional blame for everything that is wrong in the MU.
I think it would be a good What If to see what would have happened had Tony not formed the Illuminati and not hidden the gems, etc, etc. I can't wait until the great Steve Rogers makes his mistake and we see what happens in the aftermath.
