If you haven't started reading Unwritten yet, this is a great issue to jump right in.

I enjoyed the reference to the first issue on the cover and to earlier issues with the news casts, blogs, and so forth. Some nice little recaps and some new mysteries as well.

It will be interesting to see where this detective story aspect goes as well as what Savoy is doing with Madame Rouche.

I got the whole series in back issues recently and just caught up to the latest issue today. It's a very ingenious concept, and Carey is obviously very well-researched when it comes to tapping the well of famous fictional figures. A bit annoyed with the decompressed aspect of the story; but I am willing to bear out with the long-form storytelling as long as the reveals are eked out, eventually.

I was most impressed with the non-linear story about Lizzie Hexam's origins back in Unwritten #17. It took me a while to get through all the possible storylines, and the book sort of made you work for it, really emphasising the participation aspect and immersing the reader more into the story.

Love the current direction the series seems to be taking. I am looking forward to how wounding Leviathian ties into this oncoming Wave, and how the gang gets put together in order to stop this new threat.

I finally started reading my back issues. So far i'm at issue 16, besides a few moments, this book suck almost as bad as fable... I want my money back.

I guess it really fits a niche, but... currently catching up, reading through the War of Words stuff, and I honestly think this is on par with Sandman at this point. It's a fucking masterpiece.

I'd definitely put it up with Y, Sandman, Swamp Thing, Fables as one of the greatest (technically) Vertigo comics.
