...must ignore Teen Tony panel, if we don't acknowledge it, it has no power over us...
Ahem. Those last two pages are certainly the most interesting. Is there any difference between this and the regular #500 issue or is the .1 only tagged onto some copies so buyers can tell whens a "good jumping on point"?
Current Pulls:
Iron Man, Aquaman, Avengers, Batman, Captain America, Captain Marvel, East of West, Journey into Mystery, New Avengers, Talon

I so wish I could get past the dull flat art to read this series....
Yes, in so far as it was wiped with Onslaught and the Tony who came back was Franklin Richards' (read as editorial) reincarnation/merge of the Tonys.
The 'point one' thing is a little silly but heck it is an extra issue and at a cheaper price if they are still keeping to the original rollout.
An CBR item also had this:
"Gabriel said that it should be clear simply from numbering progression -- 7, 7.1, 8 -- that each was a different issue that followed a linear storyline."
"The folly of mistaking a paradox for a discovery, a metaphor for a proof, a torrent of verbiage for a spring of capital truths, and oneself for an oracle, is inborn in us." (Paul Valery) - thus my blog In extremis
Whoa, is Larocca doing something different with the inks? Because his art looks significantly different.
The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!
Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!
In other words, what StoneGold said.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Some panels, especially the Modern Tony ones look real Salvador, with the purple caterpillar lips and all, but some look like someone else. At any rate I'm sold, and I frankly kinda hope these pages do not appear with dialogue, because I don't think any is needed. A terrific silent recap of Tony's entire career as a bizarre robot-man.

Has anybody seen this? I am looking at pages 6 and 7 and I can hardly recognize the events they are portraying. Is that Pepper sunning on the beach? Is that Spy Masters face in one panel. The other stuff, who knows.
But it looks like a recap of past events in IM's life, mostly.
Visited NY and DC and saw Spider-Man Turn off the Dark.
Why have people in the biz gone to presenting everything as being so frozen? With the exception of Tony going out the window (and a couple of the sixth size 'fight' panels) this entire comic is a series of frozen panels. It's almost a panel sized cover gallery.
I'll need to flip this in store and get a sense of the dialogue before I commit. I assume this will be the norm across the .1 books since they were produced "out of schedule."
Loved the flashback to the (near fatal) fight with Firepower.
There's a villian we need to see again- SO much better than that lameass Detroit Steel.
Tension, Apprehension, and Dissension have begun.
The last part really looks interesting! Stane working on something while The Mandarin sits back smiling. That has bad news written for Tony all over it!
