Marvel has released an advance look at Mark Millar and Leinil Yu's "Ultimate Avengers Vs. New Ultimates" #1, part of the "Death of Spider-Man" storyline set to rock through the Ultimate Marvel Universe.

Also, this looks like it will be interesting, though I agree with the poster who noted the whole "the ultimate universe will never be the same again" stuff. I just want some good and fun stories dang it!

Is this something that I'm going to have to read to get the "full picture" for The Death of Spiderman? If so, I'm out! I'm not a fan of either Miller or Lu, and if this is required to understand that story, then it's time to end Ultimate Spiderman, too.

I thought that you would have to do that, yes. But the Spider-Man arc is 8 issues long, so I think that a big part of the picture will be in the Spider-Man title.

My God! gasp ... everything? Millar's and Yu's last Ultimates left me very disappointed. It's clear that Millar is only putting in half the effort on his non creator owned properties.

Bruce Banner Hulk is set to appear in Ultimate X #5, but that won't be out until supposedly April now. It's Marvel's fault that they allow this stuff to happen. It really is.

Anyways, I've been a big Lenil Yu fan since Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine. He's just so wonderful and reliable to turn in work on time. I swear him and Bagley are so good at this.

Lenil Yu's had the chance to draw a lot of Ultimate characters, and with the announcement of him on the book, I was most looking forward to seeing his take on Thor. So far I'm liking what I'm seeing.

If they are going to continue to use stone Mjolnir instead of axe/hammer Mjolnir, at least the artists that have been drawing it have been making it a much bigger version than the 616 one. Yu's version there in that preview has it just has big as the hammer/axe one.

I can't wait to see the Bryan Hitch variant covers for these!
