The DC Heroes role-playing game had a Watchmen module that included information supplied by Moore that wasn't in the original story. Whether Moore wrote this specifically for the game or they just used his notes, I don't know. But at the time die-hard fans of the series picked this up. It took place prior to the passage of the Keene Act that outlawed the heroes. Pretty sure Dave Gibbons supplied original art for the modules. The author is Ray Winninger.

Kind of disappointing to see Aaron go off like this. Even if he HAD to say it, he could have done it in a better way.

I understand as a creator why this might upset you, though. It is disrespectful even though I highly doubt that was his intent.

Mr Aaron has given me in his short comics writing career MORE enjoyment than Mr. Moore has ever given me. And yes, Alan has written some good things and some things that have been way overhyped. But there ARE better comic book writers than Alan Moore.

Jason Aaron is a narcisist..He makes Alan Moore`s statement personal and says that "He" personally was thrown under the bus along with his friends. Aaron talks like his name was mentioned in the artical personally.Dc and Marvel for that matter made billions while paying out pennies to the creators...now you can say that these people signed contracts and thats what they signed...all well and good but when one of those creators complains about it and stating that they dont like the practices of these corporations or the way they have been treated by them shouldent have to listen to the comment of some "company man" like Jason Aaron who tells him to "fuck off" because this "corporate shill" and "company man" Jason Aaron is too ignorant not to be commenting on something he knows nothing about opr has lived and learned for himself

Jason Aaron is my hero, it's about time someone called out Moore for being the egotistical, bitter, nutjob that he's become. The guy is so full of crap it's incredible, from insulting current writers for not being original when most of his best known work was hardly original. Or had told others to kill their children if they are gay? Or have spread false rumours that fellow creators have AIDS? Or others that have plotted to embezzle money from each other? Would that affect what you read and who you worked for?

Because right now, you work for and with people who have done just that.

That said, if the guy who wrote Watchmen and From Hell doesn't have the standing to dismiss a group that happens to include someone who apparently wrote some better than average Ghost Rider comics, then who does?

Alternatively, one could equally accurately ask "if the guy who wrote apparently wrote some better than average Captain Britain comics doesn't have the standing to dismiss a group that happens to include someone who's writing Scalped, then who does?"

I am mixing in realism. It's Jason that's taken the idealist route.

People are flawed. If you cannot enjoy work with the knowledge that the creator, the editor, the publisher is a flawed person, and may have opinions and beliefs different to you and act according to them, then you cannot enjoy any work.
