This March, Mark Bagley returns to "Ultimate Spider-Man," not to praise Peter Parker, but to bury him. CBR spoke with the artist about the upcoming "Death of Spider-Man" storyline and his Marvel Comics future.

Well, at least, he admitted that the artists after him raised the bar.
He's waiting for another assignment from Marvel? Why doesn't he work on a creator-owned comics?

Avengers should be his next book. He does high powered fast action art. That's the best book he could get on, plus he'd be drawing high profile important stuff written by Bendis. They're a perfect team, because their quality & speed matches each other.

I thought he'd be a better fit for Takio. Faster, youthful drawings, dynamic superhero art. Then Oeming could stay on Powers.

I really hope he stays a little bit more than 8 issues on USM….But, New Avengers is a great book too!
Anything with spider man would do! He’s the “ultimate” (sorry about that!

) spider man artist, after all!

I'd like to see him do New Mutants when he is done with Spidey. He is at his best when drawing young adults, which is why I loved his New Warriors, and didn't like his JLA.

I agree and would much prefer him to JRJR on Avengers. And if Deodato Jr. is taking over New Avengers I'd say Bendis is set in terms of good artists on his Avengers books. I do wonder who will take over Secret Avengers, though? Assuming Deodato Jr. is the new artist on NA, that is.
