Default If you could pick one writer to write one Marvel title...

...Who would it be and what title would you have them write. This would be a ongoing monthly title (past or present) with a promise of at least 24 issues. The writer can not be one who is currently deceased.

I would have to go with: Chris Claremont writing The Uncanny X-Men.

This would get me back to reading the X-Men books again. It has been several years since I picked one up and from what I read here I am not missing much.

I miss the days when the X-Men were in Australia, on the run and "hidden" from the world.

Yeah Claremont has written some X-stuff this decade...it hasn't gone well. That said Bendis back on Daredevil is my pick

Yeah I know he is writing that title and I also know most people do not care for it, however my understanding is he is some what limited in what stories he can tell based on history and continuity of the x-men books.

I would love to see him come back and get the current X-Men title(s) back to the glory it use to be a few years ago.

Duane Swierczynski on Daredevil. Someone good needs to take it over after this Diggle debacle.

As far as Claremont on Uncanny, I just read the Dark Phoenix Saga. It was not good. Claremont loves him some words. It's not really possible to have a 30 second inner though monologue between punches or between sentences in a conversation, but Claremont does it.
Pull List Saga, Invincible, Walking Dead, Chew, Peter Panzerfaust, Superior Spidey, Animal Man, Aquaman, Harbinger, X-O Manowar

There's an awesome issue of Deadpool from the classic Kelly run that hilariously addresses this. Wolverine and Deadpool are fighting and while leaping into the air at each other, each spout off an absurdly long monologue before clashing mid-air. Kitty Pryde (who was watching the fight) asks how that's even possible. Dr. Bong (who instigated the fight in the first place) says he believes it's "part of their mutant powers."

I wish I could find the panel, it's in the same issue as the infamous DP SHORYUKEN.

Jason Aaron on Thunderbolts (With all due respect to Parker's current run)
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

There's a similar scene in an old issue of Silvestri's CyberForce where Ripclaw is mid-leap and has about five minute's worth of dialogue.

Given his love of all things Viking, I'd love to see Brian Wood on Thor.

I would love to see Grant Morrison back @ Marvel and working on the X-Men Books again and/or on the FF. That wuld be awesome.

I would also like to see Joe Casey on a more high profile book again.
