Back in High School I had a friend who collected the weirdest music he can find around the world.
He used them to send people home whenever he felt the party should end. Much to my amusement, it worked all the time. I'm dedicating this thread to that wonderful WTF factor you get by listening some of the songs. Please feel free to contribute, in fact I insist, but Please follow these rules.
- Provide at very least a link to the music (preferably embed the video) because I expect some rare or not very much known stuff.
- Post one entry per day, (and post often, or come back to enjoy what others posted)
- Sometimes the weirdness isn't that obvious so tell us why is it here.
- Post originally released songs, (leave the fan made music and video's to some other threads). It's OK if it was independently released as CD, Vinyl Tape or anything else similar. Could be strange lyrics or music or both. Funny-Strange, is OK, too.
Feel free to start listing, I'll be back as soon as I got some time to contribute. Try to think like my friend used to: Music you would play to break the party.
Should be fun.

Ok, you asked for it.
In Japan some decided to combined "Idol-Singing" (The closest thing to that in America I could think of are the kids that sing on the Disney Chanel) with Heavy Metal and come up with Babymetal. Believe me 13 year old girls singing over heavy guitar riffs is strange enough.

This next is better known for their visuals more than their music. Artycool "your friend" (you are really talking about yourself, right

) might play some their stuff back in the day. I chose one of their more milder videos because a) their off the wall stuff tend to be NSFW and b) it's the only video of them I reminder seeing on MTV ever. So if want stuff like "Womb With a View" or "Gor Gor" you have to find it yourself.

Gramps, whenever he thought it was enough party for one night, would jump out of the bed wearing only his home made boxers, and swirling his cane above his head until everyone left, peacefully. I know. But that's just another level of weirdness.

Besides, the weird I listen to is still considered commercial by my friends standards.
For example Caramba. A good Spanish Band that sings in... Caramba.
Yes, they invented their own language. If you don't speak Caramba, too bad.
But don't worry, it's all Caramba, to me too.
... and you can dance to this.

"My Friend" is not an imaginary thing.

He's the one of the 3 Blues Brothers sitting in the front row. He's the first from right, without the hat and shades, best observed at 0:38.

The trade school we attended, had male students only, so naturally when the grad night came we didn't want to celebrate with the rest of the school. Instead we teamed up with a female class, for obvious reasons. The money we collected was enough for renting the place, plus food, drink. However, we didn't had enough for live music. My friend took the responsibility upon himself, but of course, we were not going to rely on him entirely. Turned out to be a good thing, because his entertainment was running late. To our surprise A Guy (Bada Dada) showed up few minutes before the grad ended. Yeah, he was the entertainment. Sit down by the piano and played this song:

Needless to say we all left.
This whole thread I started, in tribute to Bada Dada, who I learned committed suicide few years ago.
He was a great guy to hang out with, and a respected musician, painter among other things.
I only saw him once, that night but he managed to leave an impression.
So now you know the story.

I wouldn't call "Do Wha Diddy" weird compare to standards like "Sh Boom" or "My Friend The Witch Doctor".
Too bad the video of The Fools cover of "Do Wha Diddy" can not be found any where on the net not even on their web site (I look) I really enjoy that video when I was younger even tho I never why there was a chicken at end. Maybe it had something to do with this next video that I just recently seen. A parody of a "Talkin Heads" song.

Here's a rare top 10 single that quickly drop off the charts because it was ban from radio air play. The song is a simple drum beat with the guy saying his lines to the beat sort of an early from of rap in 1966. To make it even weirder the B-side (back then records have 2 sides) is just the same song backwards.
