I have no idea what is going to happen in this book but I'm getting pretty excited. Though I really don't want Peter to die. Just saying...

    Those are some nice covers!

McGuinness always seems to be the only guest cover-artist that somehow manages to get the 'youth' of Spider-Man in that universe, all the others depict him way too old. And I wonder what kind of mess Spider-Man has fallen into this time, to have so many people against him, especially such a disparate alliance. They're mostly SHIELD prisoners or mercenaries, maybe that they were sent against Spidey by Danvers or Fury?

McNiven draws a ugly Spider-Man costume, but I really love his Black Cat and Mysterio. This ensures that Mysterio is going to play a role in that event, and Spidey will apparently have to deal with S.H.I.E.L.D and Mysterio at the same time. Maybe even that Mysterio is masterminding part of those events in order to get rid of Spider-Man?

Cover for 153 looks like a dream sequence issue, a la ASM 100 or 150.

Cover 154 is nice. That's a terrific rendition of Spidey, best I've seen in a long while.

McNiven's cover is great but I can't get behind the idea of this story, especially when I read it before.

I think they should stop promising things to fans in regards to Spider-man. They told fans they had big things like Unmaskings and Deaths before and it was a complete fabrication, they had no real want or ability to do these things. They should just do generic stuff because apparently that's all they can do. In the other books they should definently get rid of that Doc Ock thing, he's basically Gaunt from the end of the clone saga.
