April naming them was nice, I'm really excited to see how the relationships develop, it should be fun.
It's very wonky, but I have faith that it will be worked out. The DCNU is going to destroy my budget though, there are more than a few titles I want to try. I've cut some of my pull back (like the Dark Knight) and some titles have just ended or are on hiatus, but I don't think it'll be enough.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to future issues.
Aye. I have about 12 Number ones on my pull (I usually buy 6 DC books a month). Since I'm moving to Halifax in a few weeks I'm not going to be able to get any that come out in late September. I figure I'll only be able to get the issues coming out this week and the ones next week. So it looks like I'll be able to get: Batgirl, Action Comics, Animal Man, JLI (The preview had me sold) and Superboy. I don't know if there will be any nearby shops wherever I'm going to be living in a few weeks so I can't count on being able to pick up the remaining Number ones when I get settled.
I'm getting Batman, Detective, Action Comics, and I really want to try Savage Hawkman and I'm going to test the waters with Superboy, Superman, Nightwing and Batman and Robin(Bruce and Damian together might be fun). Thankfully both Hellboy and BPRD are on hiatus, Batman Beyond ended, I dropped the Dark Knight, Godzilla and the Planet of the Apes, so I might just be able to swing this...maybe.
I don't know for sure but with the move to Halifax I might just use it as an excuse to drop comics all together. Or at least most of them. I buy 10-15 comics a month which is not that much but it adds up and if I can't find a part time job, I'm just not gonna have the money to spend on comics. I'm going to try to cut down the number anyway.... Might just stick with about Six. I figure 2 Marvels, 2 DCs and 2 indies. So I guess: An Ultimate book (X-Men or Spider-Man), X-23 or X-Factor, Morning Glories, TMNT, Action Comics, and Animal Man (Assuming I like them).
Best title ever! I shall create the thread post haste.
The madness continues here!
