Default Gotham Gazette V: It was a Dark and Stormy Night

Gotham Gazette V: It was a Dark and Stormy Night

Captain Jim's "Rules of the Road" obviously still apply.

As does these guidelines: (posted by Sean Whitmore)

This is an outgrowth from the Bat-Board proper. This is basically a chat thread, where there does not have to be a topic.

Civility rules apply here! You can have arguments and stuff like that, though - do note that arguments can and SHOULD be civil, which means not talking trash about posters who are not on this thread and not talking trash ABOUT other posters to one another. If you wish to argue, argue - just keep it with the person you're arguing with.

And no linking to pornography! I don't mind some cussing, but that goes too far.

    Otherwise, enjoy!
And I'd like to give a big kudos to DetectiveDupin for the creation of the first Off-Topic thread for the Batman forum. It was a great way to bring us all together.

And a message to anyone who wants to pop in, feel free! Just come in and say hi, we don't bite ( well, there was this one time with Guardian, but that's in the past)

I'm pretty sure I was fully exonerated of that crime, and I believe the judge place a gag order on you strictly prohibiting further mention of that. Expect a call from my lawyer or I may post more anatomy pictures of beloved child cartoon characters in the vein of that pokemon one I shared before.

Hey guys--think you can help this poor, unfortunate soul that was drawn in the excellent blog Our Valued Customers with his problem?

So you can post anything in here?
    I wasn't sure before.

My first post in here will be...

My reaction to my husband last night, who is a avid comic collector.

    "What the hell?!!!"
I actually didn't say that to him, but I do say it to you.

Yes... I used my body to block.

    ..Wait...But maybe I should start at the beginning...;

He asked me where I would like him to take the comic book boxes that are in the bedroom.
    "Huh?" was my first answer.
He said he was in a spring cleaning mood. He is off from work because of Christmas.
I said, "but I like them here and the garage is cold" (the garage is where we keep the rest.)

We only have 23 short boxes the bedroom, I don't see the problem.

I added number 23 about two weeks ago and I think it might be his breaking point.

I had a deer in the headlights look and said, "but dear they are in the order I like them, " blocking with my body, "Don't don't ....don't touch them."

He said, "I just think...we can take a few back to the garage."
I said in my sad little girl voice, "but...but... I need them here. If you take them to the garage, I'll have to start collecting cats."
    He hates cats.

Does anyone else have a spouse problem with comics?

I mean...the comics in the garage are mostly his...It's not like ... he doesn't read or collect himself.

I only wish I had serious, comic based, ethical dilemmas like this with my girl friend. My comic habit is something my girl friend simply pretends doesn't exist.

I'd love to have a comic reading wife like you Allyson, if I had intentions to get married
It's great to have space enough to store comics collected by an avid reader
