The "scratch" team is already more interesting than the fat sacred cows in the top slots. The king is dead, long live the new.
Cool article! Nice hints of things to come, but .... three more months? to the Kitty and Peter arc? :(
I love the idea of Gillen traipsing around in Magneto togs. LOL!
Thank you Mr. Gillen, thank you.Originally Posted by Kieron Gillen

"The Sublime Corporation took advantage of the chaos to introduce San Francisco to a new version of the X-Men; a group of five normal humans granted super powers by exposure to the company's experiments in bio-technology. The company's larger scheme is to eventually sell this power-creating technology on the open market, thereby rendering mutants irrelevant by giving super powers to anyone with a large enough bank account."
See, this is what always baffles me with the Marvel general public. I mean how do they justify hating one person with special abilities, because they're born with them. Yet if a regular Joe is given powers, through whatever means, its A-okay.

I wonder if UXM will be worth picking up now? Seems like Fraction will be helping with the main plot lines, but Gillen will be working on scripts? Will the scripts be tighter now?
I haven't read UXM in a long time, but if this title focuses on few characters like Gillen's suggesting than UXM might be worth reading again. Hmmm... not sure...
The Fantomex mention was interesting though.
Marvel realizes that the marks are smartening up. A lot of what Gillen talked about is what we've been discussing on these boards for a while now. This could truly be the age of the mark.

This sounds interesting enough. Major step up from the Five Lights anyway. Land's art though.... It's just brutal.
Cancel Gen H and get Matt and Keiron off of Uncanny so they can team up with Greg Land for "X-Scratch." I would buy that for $3.99 an issue and buy the collection (HC/TPB) because these guys are more than worthy and deserving of their own ongoing, if not a miniseries.
I demand X-Scratch!!!!!
point 1: eh, can't muster up any enthusiasm, unless there is a "SLAMMO."
point 2: GODDESS YES!!!! Gillen, cosplay for us and post the pictures for us on the next X-Position: Keiron Gillen.

I thought Gillen touched on that. JoeQ public isn't so much afraid of people born with powers. They're afraid of being replaced by those people. Powers are okay if everyone has a theoretical chance of gaining them.
point 1: LOL! Well... that's not unreasonable.
point 2: Oh no. Now I have this image of ALL the X-Position writers having to appear in costume.![]()

Dazzler and Storm as uber powerful by themselves and have worked together for a long time. Storm and Angel too. These three should be able to kick butt by themselves. My only complaint is Pixie is involved and I'm sure she will be the one to save the day or something contrived like that. I would have rather a villain be in this scratch team.
