I will confess that I don't really understand the ".1" initiative:

Am I correct in my observation that, for some of these series (X-Force and Thor, especially) the storyline is actually being interrupted to accommodate this promo? And that the .1 stories being published are stories completely separate from what has been going on recently in the series?

ie: part 1 of X-Force's new storyline is in February, then the .1 issue, then part 2 in March?

Yeah. I don't understand the logic. The .1 issues are actually leading to the middle of an arc?
Doesn't make sense given that they're supposed to attract new readers and this is only going to confuse them.
