    "Let's see...what could I say? It's somebody you know and not a new character. It's one of those things that feels very natural. While it is a stretch, there is history to reinforce the decision. And if there weren't, I wouldn't jump to do this."

    So, Flash Thompson? Military experience. Lost his legs but can walk again with the symbiote....

    Just don't kill him and then resurrect him as FrankenThompson....

    654.1? Reminds me of Image'2 1/2 issues during the 90s. There's some cool stuff to this but I think I'll wait for the trade.

    I hope it's not Flash that seems kind of Avatar like to do that with him. My guess is it's John Jameson. Considering he's been down the supernatural road before and it sounds like they want to have the Venom series be about fighting monsters and he could probably get a recommendation from Steve Rogers to be part of that kind of government program.

    I'm guessing Flash or JJJ's son.

    Even though I think Flash, Jameson would be a good match.

    It's got to be Flash. Anybody else would be a let-down.

    ...why not Ben Reily ?

    then this VENOM title could be everything Marvel wanted to do with SPIDERMAN but couldn't, and this will be a hit certainly..

    Both Jameson and Flash make sense for this: military background, prominent role in the book of late.

    Personally, I'd bet on Flash, though. his history with addiction lends itself well to the idea of having to ration the use of the symbiote.

    Honestly, I kind of think Reily as Venom would be a fucking awesome idea. Unfortunately it wouldnt go far because too many people would complain that it reminded them of the Clone Saga.

    I'm guessing either Flash or JJ's kid.

    I still want Eddie Brock back as Venom ;_;
    Eh, Comics is a pretty cool guy...

    I'm aiming towards Flash Thompson myself. But on the other hand with John Jameson's extensive experience with dealing with the superhuman community ,as Captain America's pilot, and being in the Avengers support staff. And his own dealings with the negative effects of superhuman powers. The wierd spores he was infected with during a spacewalk, and the whole Man-Wolf embroilio. Then his own experiences with mental problems. After the pendant that turned him into Man-Wolf was removed, he had a bit of breakdown, and checked himself into an institution. Where he was kidnapped by the Scorpion in Amazing Spider-Man Annual#21 , along with JJJ then future bride, Marla Madesen.
