Default CBR: DnA Relieve Cornell on "Soldier Zero"

BOOM! Studios have announced Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, otherwise known as DnA, will replace Paul Cornell on "Stan Lee's Soldier Zero" when the writer departs the series after issue #4.

I feel kind of bad about missing all this Stan Lee BOOM! stuff. I'll definitely pick up the first set of trades if the reviews are half-way decent. With writers of Cornell and DnA's caliber, I can't imagine they wouldn't be. I do wonder what prompted the switch, though?

This is awesome news! Can't wait for this.

DnA will fit in quite well with Solider Zero. Very good news.

Well Paul Cornell started off the series in a good way, and I know DnA will kick it up a notch. This is great news, and I can't wait. DnA are a good fit for Soldier Zero, and I can't wait to see where they take the book.

I'm glad that Javier Pina is staying, I hope he doesn't leave the book. He is a great artist, and has defined the look of the book, and each issue is better then the last.

    Completely agree.

I think this sounds like a great fit. I wasn't all that impressed with Cornell's writing in the two issues that I read, but it may have been myself not caring much for the character, but this could kick the book up a notch.

I don't know, a change in writer, after the creative teams were announced that big a few months ago does seem odd to me. Wonder what happened behind the scenes.

Although Cornell had an exemption for Soldier Zero from his DC Exclusive... he probably was only allowed to do 4 issues.

Cornell signed an exclusive deal with DC.

Anyway, I'm mildly interested in this book. But I decided to wait for the trade.

I'm pretty sure Cornell was given permission by DC to work for Boom! since it was a chance to work with Stan Lee.

Javier Pina?! Ooh. Haven't seen him since he was on DC's MANHUNTER.
