Justin beat me to naming the thread.

I was going to go with "Maybe it's time for you to find out how insane I am!" if it fit.

I heard that my hometown Toronto is trying to get to host a future WWE event.

The main event was a nice match between Roderick Strong and Austin Aries which was pretty bloody good, as you'd expect, while Daizee Haze and Kevin Steen had what amounted to glorified squash matches.

The Briscoes vs Kings of Wrestling and Haze vs Del Rey (with mystery partners) Tag Matches should be awesome. Richards vs Strong should be a strong outing, but yeah, the big match is Steen vs Generico.
Unfortunately, with the mask vs career stipulation, I'm starting to think El Generico's gonna be unmasked, which will be a damn shame.
It should be noted that a year ago, before the Steen heel turn, there was a rumor going around that Steen had some serious injury issues that were going to make him have to retire. Then, when everyone thought he was going to announce his retirement during FB, he turned on Generico instead. It could be possible that the rumor is true, but he wanted to go out on a high note and stuck around for a year.

I guess we'll see. I really don't want steen gone, and I really don't want Generico unmasked, so this match is kind of bittersweet for me.

    Thumbs up

-- Nick Hogan was in court yesterday, as he petitioned the judge to get his 5-year probation ended early. Nick was driving at a high speed, and got into an accident that left John Graziano in a vegetative. The judge denied the request, due to the fact that he needed to take a closer look at the community service that Nick has done. Nick has reportedly only completed half of the 500 hours assigned to him, 65 of those hours were spent planning a Super Bowl party. The judge was also not happy that Nick got a driver's license in California while his Florida license was suspended for three years. The judge felt that this violated the spirit of his probation. John Graziano's mother, Debbie, sent the following to the judge: "Nick Bollea has no hardship. He simply wants to escape as much of the consequences Florida has placed on his as possible. I think this latest request is a disgrace. I am sorry for Nick that my son's catastrophic injuries put a damper on his life."
More and more I do not like the Hogans.

-- Former TNA star Sonjay Dutt will be replacing the injured Kenny Omega at this weekend's Final Battle event. Here is the updated card for the show:

    * ROH champion Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards
    * Mask vs. ROH Career Fight Without Honor: El Generico vs. Kevin Steen (with Steve Corino)
    * ROH TV champion Christopher Daniels vs. Homicide
    * ROH Tag Team champions Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli and Shane Hagadorn vs. Mark & Jay Briscoe and their father, Mike Briscoe
    * Eddie Edwards vs. Sonjay Dutt
    * Daizee Haze and Awesome Kong vs. Sara Del Rey and Serena Deeb
    * Colt Cabana vs. TJ Perkins
    * The All Night Express vs. Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole
I am more pumped for Final Battle than I have been for any wrestling event in AGES.

Can anyone give me some background info going into Final Battle. I think I have the jest of the Kevin Steen/Generico match, but I really have no clue who Davey Richards is outside of a couple of youtube things I have seen. KOW and Briscoes I know.

But just a storyline catch up would be nice.

Well it looks like Vince is surfing another annoucer off Smackdown .

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE Smackdown announcer Todd Grisham has been removed from the Smackdown announce team and has been replaced by Josh Matthews. Furthermore, it was suggested that Grisham should try and apply for a full-time position with the Fox Soccer Channel, which is what he does part-time. Grisham had not been on Vince McMahon's good side in the last few months, which is why Michael Cole was added to the Smackdown team.

Good question. You might have to google it. I've read some good wrestling books, but never a history of wrestling.
