Hardman deserves more attention. The guy is awesome.

It's very good. Jeff Parker has managed to make Loeb's Red Hulk actually an intereting character.

It's awesome that Ross has a General hunting him. Now he'll know what it's like and he may now have sympathy towards Banner.

Also, It's strange that now that the book's quality is much better, they drop the price from $3.99 to $2.99. I hope Inredible Hulks goes to $2.99 also.

i noticed that Thunderbolts is now $2.99 too.

Parker's gone on record saying he thinks comics are overpriced... maybe he told Marvel to drop the prices for his books?

dunno if it's that simple, but i wonder if he doesn't have something to do with this.

I dissagree intirely, while I find this book enjoyable, there has been no accomplishments that set this book aside from when Loeb wrote it. At this moment I still prefer Loeb and McGuinness.

Of course many people will yell and scream about how much better the book is now that Loeb is off the book, but of course they rarely give evidence supporting why it is better, nor did they have the pactience to follow a book that demanded it longer then 5 issues.

Other than making Rulk less suck of a character. And having a coherent plot and decent characterization.

All .1 books will be $2.99, after that it's back to business as usual with the $3.99 price. Basically what they want to do is hook people in with their .1 issues and then try to keep people interested in buying at that $3.99 price.

you're right, i just checked. apart from the double sized 150 issue it's been 2.99. i get so many different comics i forgot.

still, isn't Marvel supposed to drop prices for select titles back from 3.99 to 2.99?

While I'm enjoying Hulk (picked it up when Parker / Hardman took over because I love them both) I think it's yet to find it's real feet. It's not as fun as some of Parker's other stuff, yet (although Ross and Banner's interactions have been fun). Parker's spoken of making the first arc about dealing with all those people who hate him but now whose side he is on (which he kinda had to do), while the second arc is about establishing Rulk's own rogue's gallery. This might bring some of the real magic. So yeah, fun book, but currently non-essential on my reading list (which infairness, only has Buffy, ASM, and Thunderbolts as essential).

Really enjoying Parker's Hulk. Personally I find it far more enjoyable than Pak's Incredible Hulks.

Interesting we're getting another General to hunt Ross. Though personally, I was wishing that if they were going to have the army hunting him, it would've been tremendously appropriate to drag out the plot dangler from "World War Hulks" and say Talbot was really still alive after all. (After Cho's devices identified Talbot as the real deal in IH #608--something that admittedly could mean the Leader did outsmart Cho, but anything's possible--the good colonel was revealed to be an LMD in HULK #24.) Oh, but there are still so many interesting things to do with this idea.

The key problems with Parker's HULK so far are chiefly that it's been all about--let's be honest--everyone who got their butts kicked by Ross during Loeb/McGuinness' run getting their just desserts. It's getting rather depressing, really, seeing first Iron Man, then Thor, the Watcher, and now Namor kick his butt month in and out. Thankfully, the art is amazing between Hardman's linework and Bettie Breitweiser's colors. I'm on this book for as long as it lasts, so I wish the team nothing but the best, and hope that the heroes get the Rulk hate out of their systems in this arc.

Depressing? I'd say it's both necessary and a long time coming. And Rulk deserves it until he earns some trust with these people.
