Why has this never been collected? Or has it? I actually have the #1 issue and Star Reach 4... both sold to me when I was decidedly not an adult, not sure how exactly anymore but I became a Chaykin fan at a pretty young age. Anyway I didn't even know about the Heavy Metal stuff. I know Cody Starbuck would be a slim trade, but more has been done with less.
I was going to say, if it has been mentioned that this was collected, I must have missed it. Tim, please use your influence and get a collected edition ASAP!
It has never been collected, and, let's see, it would be about 100 pages of material -- plenty for an oversized hardcover!
But part of the charm of this comic is that it's ONLY available in this weird hodge-podge of formats (and sizes). In a hardcover, everything would have to be re-sized to fit, and you'd get that terrible thing that you get with "Hunger Dogs" in the final Fourth World hardcover. Ugh.
If a hardcover of Cody Starbuck did exist, I would totally buy it, of course. Dynamite, are you listening?
