Both Covers look Amazing! I cannot Wait for this event!
The Yu cover made my brain explode...The Ultimate Universe is really gaining momentum again.
Nice the Avenger team looks sick. Hoping that Blade makes it on.
Hawkeye, Tyron Cash, War Machine, Punisher, and Blade would be a sick team
I hate that they've now replaced the Ultimate Iron Man armor with the movie armor. I mean, I guess it makes sense because it is a realistic take on the Iron Man armor (which is what the Ultimate armor was originally deigned to be), and it's also the most high-profile version of the armor.
But the Ultimate armor was my favorite. I wish they hadn't done away with it.
As for the books themselves, I'm still undecided. I'm not caught up on either of them, and right now I'm still on Bendis & Millar burn-out. I'm thinking about picking up USM #150, so I guess I'll decide based on the strength of that issue (and the previews, whenever they come out).
Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived. After all, we're only mortal. - Jean-Luc Picard
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. - The Guide
I'm less interested in the "Death of Spider-Man" stuff and more intrigued how Millar is going to handle the ultimate Insane Clown Posse left over by Loeb. The Ultimate Avengers vs. the Ultimate Ultimates--considering the subtext of Loeb screwing up the Ultimates in particular and the UltiVerse in general, how much Millar retcons Loeb could be worth the price of admission alone.
These look good but then again when you have covers drawn by this group its bound to be good. I just hope Punisher is not in the story though.
When will the Marvel artists realize that the casings don't go along with the bullet when firing a gun?
This keeps showing up in Marvel titles.
Man, these covers look great! I'm going to enjoy Ultimate Avengers VS Ultimates.
So Ultimate Spider-Man 153 and 154 are just Death of Spider-Man prologue?
"Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot." - Dick Grayson
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." - Damian Wayne
So is that armor now the official Ultimate armor, or do you think it was just modernized for the cover treatment?
Yeah, that drives me crazy, too. I can never understand how an artist knows to draw the casings being ejected from the gun as someone shoots, but still also draws the casings on the bullets being fired. Someone doesn't even need to know anything about guns. Simple logic should be enough to tell an artist that can't be right.
But I've seen it from all publishers, not just Marvel.
Yes, it's been the resident armor since Frank Cho's first issue of New Ultimates.
There have a been a few blips now and then, but otherwise this is the armor that has been used since late last year. This is the first time I've seen it in the movie colors, though. It's been a dark gray up until now.
