Default CBR: Liu Leads "X-23" to Self Discovery

The mutant known as X-23 has been both assassin and hero, but she's never been allowed to be herself. We spoke with Marjorie Liu about the self-discovery arc of the popular mutant's series starting later this month.

I've been waiting for this with the character. Is this where she chops off her hair, backpacks around Europe, and beds with some hirsute Slovak?

I hope this arc confirms that Gambit is also a clone.

I thought being a crappy character was her being herself. :)

Liu's latest prose work is "In the Dark of Dreams"

The second arc is three issues long, but the thing about these stories is that they're all going to bleed into one another. You can read them as standalone arcs, but if you stick with the book, you'll find that all the stories belong together and serve to build upon and expand X-23's mythology.
Oh Marjorie. You understand my needs so well.

None of that happened to Gambit, but he's got his own demons. He's done horrible things in his life that he's had to atone for. He knows what it's like to make the wrong decision and then pay for it. He takes responsibility for his life, and even though his choices don't always turn out for the best, he owns them, accepts them. He's his own man. He doesn't let people tell him what to do.
    Hurray!

They really should've worded the title of the article differently. Think about it.

I kind of weary about this series given to me it feels like more of a psychological series of the mind, then one of action and adventure.

Also besides Gambit and Hellion, isn't any other X-men worry about Laura's departure from the island ?

Isn't X-23 still her charge? If she can pay attention to a useless bore like Indra she can pay attention to Laura.

I have no problem with the implications.

Unlikely, I am fairly certain that Marjorie Liu has yet to find my diary.
    For-Real-True is only true now.

    Story-True is true forever.

Love this book so far, and I like what I'm hearing about its future... with the exception of Daken's inclusion (unless of course if its Laura high off trigger scent and brutally murdering him).
