Nice art but it looks boring.

Is it me, or does Marineman seem like an Aquaman clone?

In any case, let's check the series out,ok?
Show me a bitter nazi and I'll show you a sour kraut.

ever since Chew blew the roof off it seems like all of the new Image books are getting so much hype...

If it looks 'boring', why even comment? Such a non-useful pair of pennies...

I for one am going to buy copies for several of my nieces & nephews (after reading it myself to make sure what age group it's appropriate for). The Oceanauts section alone makes it worth it for that purpose, not to mention the clean art.

I've commented in the Marineman thread but will comment here as well - I did pick up Marineman and I really liked it. The art is really spectacular and colorful. Issue #1 is a lot of setup but you should often expect that with a first issue. It's a fun read that I sat down and shared with my 12 year-old daughter who loved it as well. It was my favorite comic of last week and I definitely recommend it.

Already checked it out - clearly not an Aquaman clone.

He's as much an Aquaman clone as any hero who flies is a Superman clone - that is, you can't deny the other came first, but it doesn't mean they're exactly the same.

One big difference, is that the majority of the cast introduced are all human - and looking to stay that way.
I think that will help to keep the wonder alive - everything that happens will be new to every character, not only new to the reader, something tricky to get when the entire cast is made up of people who live underwater.
    I'm not you.
    So you know I'm right.

If this was 2.99 I would have picked up #1. Will probably check out a trade at some point.
