How exactly is this a "teaser" for Thanos Imperative: Devastation?

It's the last page from Thanos Imperative #6.

What I mean is usually a teaser has a picture or phrase that you've never seen before and is meant to make you wonder what it means, whereas this is just a recycled picture. It's an AD, sure, but not really a teaser since it's not teasing anything that's going to happen, but rather showing something that already has.

Question - why is it posted in the Avengers' Forum? Hmmm.

    Nothing wrong with the art.

But like was said, printing the last page of T:I is not a teaser. At best it's a spoiler for anyone who didn't read the series.

/agree about the "teaser" part. Probably just what CBR labeled it though. Kind of sucks to not have any cosmic stuff (Chaos War doesn't count) until Devastation comes out.

I think you can count Chaos War as a cosmic event.

It's got Surfer and the Big G in there. They were the flag bearers for cosmic marvel long before the current crop of guys were doing it.

Yeah, I count Chaos War as cosmic, too, just a different segment of the cosmic corners of the Marvel U (like how I count X-Factor and X-Men as X-Books despite their differences and all).

I'm really REALLY hoping that the last page of Devastation is a to be continued in (Fill in Name of New Cosmic Mini) so it doesn't just end with all of these great characters going into limbo.

I've been along for the whole ride from Annihilation to Annihilation" Conquest to War of Kings, Realm of Kings, and finally Thanos Imperative and if these stories can only be financially viable to the company as six issue minis (and Thanos Imperative was REALLY cut down as far as "events" go with it only being 8 books entirely and no crossovers), then so be it.

It is interesting. Could it be a sign there will be a Cosmic Avenger team or did they simply do it because Nova and Quasar were featured on it?

Nova is a Secret Avenger. And Quasar was a former one.

If you think about it, you could justify putting almost ANYONE from marvel on the Avengers board at this point. It's almost to the point where it's easier to name the guys that haven't been Avengers.

Like I said, it could be that(and likely is) but why start now? They didn't play up the Avengers angle during any other portion of TI.

Most current cosmic players haven't been Avengers. Gladiator, BRB, Surfer, Ronan, most of the Inhumans, Adam Warlock, Gamora, RR, Starlord, Drax, Phyla, Cosmo, and Vance Astro.

The list of those that have served is rather small. Nova, Quasar, Moondragon, and Crystal.

I understand what you are saying though. I just wonder why they would do it now when previously they haven't.

It might mean something, or it might mean nothing. Articles do get pointed at the "wrong" board every so often.

I don't consider Chaos War a cosmic comic. I consider it a BORING comic.
    Wanda Maximoff is a joke!

Newsarama also has this listed as a teaser. My guess is that marvel still has plans for these characters.

I think Johnathon Hickman may have something planned for the cosmic corner of the Marvel Universe. Just recently in Fantastic Four, we saw Reed Richards observing The Fault through is galactic telescope, and in a previous issue, we had the alien inhuman council fly off into Kree Space in search of their rightful king, Blackbolt.

Maybe when Secret Warriors comes to an end, we may get a new on-going or mini series.
