But do you think Grant has a lot more to say about the New Gods? I mean, sure, he does. He has lots to say about anything, really.
I think he's kind of only skimmed the surface of what he wants to do with the New Gods. They played important roles in various stuff he wrote but I don't think we really got a New Gods epic from him. Final Crisis is more a DCU/multiverse story.

I really hope this doesn't come off as a criticism of your choice, because I didn't mean it that way at all. I mean, Great Hera! Morrison and Pope?! Come on.
My only issue I want Pope to finish Battling Boy and THB before he does more DC work.

New Gods - Cornell/changing artists ala Batman and Robin, Sook, Mahnke, Jones etc. (Morrison is too obvious)

so i would be an insane editor-in-queef by making moore write fall of those titles. never should've signed his life away- i mean, that contract.

I had some suggestions but you just blew them all out of the water. Those two would be incredible.

I'd like to see Paul Pope on more Adam Strange.

Also, Jan Strnad and Richard Corben on a Hawkworld book.

I'd love to see that. DnA would be perfect, obviously... And I hate to hold Gleason back from trying other books and characters, but GLC is really suffering without him, imo. It's not that the art since he's left has been bad; it's just that the GLC book needs an artist with a specific set of strengths, and I don't think there are too many of them out there. Parasin is doing great on Emerald Warriors, but I think GLC is going to be hurting pretty soon if they don't find someone more suited to the material.

I pretty much agree, Green Lantern Corps has just collapsed. Bedard just isn't doing anything to expand the mythos and there's still so much to explore and Gleason really hit some kind of amazing peak on Blackest Night. I think the culprit is those factors and Emerald Knights. You can't just take away the three most fun Lanterns and expect Corps to maintain it's quality. Not to mention Emerald Knights isn't blowing minds either (from what I've heard.) The cast of Corps is now Kyle, John, Katma Tui (edit: oops, that should be Soranik Natu), Bodika and Ganthet. Notice a trend in personality types? Uh-oh.

Now this I disagree with. Tomasi never really did anything of his own, he just played second fiddle to Johns' Emotional Spectrum stuff. The BN issues were pretty repetetive IMO. Bedard's first arc wasn't great, but the Weaponer issue was great.

Not strictly true, Tomasi's run really expanded on Mongul who was mostly a mystery before and also the way life is lived on Oa. Bedard is doing that with the Weaponer, yeah, but it feels like it has less finesse. Maybe I just miss the joined feeling of Green Lantern and Corps.

Yeah, I'll agree that Mongul was handled quite nicely in GLC.

Then Johns came along and got rid of him in GL.

Apparently he survived that? I really hope he did but I wouldn't put it past Johns to kill him to bring back the original. :P

Yeah, I think he's fine, but it's just sad how Tomasi didn't even get to finish his own storyline.
