I'm sold. I'd like to see the Professor go nuts with these characters, on a grand scale.
And Pixie looks hawt in those boots!
This is gunna be awesome

This is what the readers crave. One thing that hasn't changed about these characters, however, is their basic personalities. "These characters' lives have all been about surviving; staying one step ahead of the opposition. The world will not allow them the latitude to act as heroes or be seen as heroes," Carey explained. "Having said that, these characters have the same personalities as their 616 counterparts. There's a sense that the personalities of these characters will shine through regardless of what the world throws at them. That's part of what we're doing in this story. It's one of the most enjoyable aspects of it; seeing how the people we know define themselves against these very, very different crises."
So basically he's dating emma?"This will also result in some unlikely character pairings. For example, Cyclops – or Basilisk, as he's known in the world of 'Age of X' – is in an intense and slightly messed up relationship with someone who is a villain in 616, or at least has a dramatically different agenda than the X-Men."
Looks interesting. Cyclops is in a messed-up relationship with a villain? Most definitely Cargill.
That girl next to Hellion...Wind Dancer?
Anyway, looove the art and redesigns. I felt like the X-men needed an overhaul in terms of designs and most of them in Age of X appeal to me. Carey's writing is what makes me worried tho, I've lost faith in him. This does sound interesting, so I hope I'm wrong.

Sounds exciting! I love some of these redesigns. Go Jubes!!
Wanda Maximoff is a joke!
darknessatnoon: Was Xavier's dream to marry a vibrator and steal children from other families?
Love the outfits, very lovely, forward thinking designs on all characters. I actually like the ones they chose if only for variety's sake.
The problem: We've seen this story done too many times and in too many alternate dimensions. Something of this sort of magnitude should have taken place in the 616. This kind of hyped "sociopolitical survivalist metaphysical musing" should have been the core concept and driving force behind Second Coming, not a throw away mini-X Crossover.
*sigh*
I would have been A-ok with 616 Henry dying to get this kind of gravitas injected back into the Core 616 X-Franchise. I would throw a bitch fest and hate his death, but darn it I would agree to it in exchange for better ideas and plots in fueling the X-Books.

I like that Carey mentioned that neither Apocalypse or Sinister will be present. Let some other villain step up for this story.
Dazzler looks great there and it looks like Storm and Namor might be a couple?
I'm in love with Clay Mann's character studies and redesigns. I can spend the whole day looking at them.
Also, LOL at Cyclops dating Frenzy. Storm looked very cozy with Namor as well. And is that Legion? The only one I don't recognize is the girl next to Hellion, but since Mike said Kitty will play an important role, I assume that's her.
This is going to be so fantastic.
