mostly any story featuring both Kate as well as Hellboy and Abe or Liz or others as being present at the Bureau, showing up in either title of Hellboy or the BPRD,
like for instance where Liz would be going: "Anyone up for grabbing a beer downtown, for washing down things being as slow as today on the job?"
With Abe going: "Count me out."
And Kate: "Will there be dancing?"
And Abe: "Oooh, count me in again."
"Will we be also hitting up the arcades for a quick tourney of Air Hockey or else Double Dragon II?
As otherwise I'll be filling up the tub I'm thinking."
Mostly any such bit of story, would technically be most likely presenting Kate as being consultant, instead of a BPRD member yet, since she would effectively have only become a member at a late date.
But if Roger would be also present as being a field agent, like with going:
Roger: "What tub, Hellbro?"
then Kate would have to be BPRD member.
And would Hellboy and potentially also Liz be out of the picture as members, due to having quit or going sabbaticalesque, then Kate would be 'assistant director of field operations'.
My guess is the article writer opted to be describing Kate as becoming a member late more rather than early in the stories, because that's how it would technically be to be, eventhough such wouldn't be to mean that as a character she would be any kind of newb or rookie among any other BPRD-members.
Does that sound gratifying or unconfusing enough for you, would you say?
