Default What are some good sites to get illustrations on?

I've been whoring my work all over online and it's been going pretty well. I got on the sites I really enjoy but want to expand. What are some good blogs or websites that, if I got on there, would be seen by a lot of people?

Also what are the thoughts about Threadless? I've been debating on doing that for awhile. As with Illustration Friday.

    Thanks guys.

I have yet to do a Flickr. As for deviantArt....no comment.

When it comes to sites like that, I'm a big fan of Society6. I used to use Behance before it got overrun with really bad work.

What I'm really looking for is popular blogs and sites, such as notcot.org, cgunit.com and omgposters.com

Yeah, I've tried a whole slew of sites, too. What the social-media people keep telling me is that there is no one-stop solution for an artist's needs - you need to cast a net as wide as possible.

I'm not entirely convinced of that, but of course it depends on what your specific needs are. My own short-term goal is just to spread my art far and wide, and longterm to get it in front of more people who actually spend money on art.

I do like the collective-art-blog thing, though I wonder if I'd end up getting lost in the crush. I guess the other end of that spectrum is the individual blog, and I can barely get people to even read mine, much less comment. I am slooooowly getting some exposure through Imagekind and RedBubble, though.

    But enough about me...

I think I'm going to try illustrationmundo and feedmecoolshit next.

It's unfortunate to think with all these people here, it's just me and you talking.

Oh well, either the masses on here are clueless or don't want to give away their secrets....I think I know the answer.....

See you over at digitalwebbing howya.

Well, as a consumer, who does occasionally buy stuff, more than a creator - I've never heard of any of the sites (notcot.org, cgunit.com, omgposters.com, etc.) that you listed off.

Not surprising, the Internet is a really big place, and I don't keep up with all the sites that I want to now.

Howy, the reason you get the far and wide social media comments, is because of people like me. We tend to "puddle", may be the best word - hang out in specific sections of the Internet for the most part. I have a list of core places I check out regularly, and others I check sporadically and I tend to go to new places when either a link from one of the regular places sounds interesting, or if I'm looking for something very specific and google takes me there. The more paths to your art the more people are likely to find it.
