I'm glad to see Sook back with the BPRD but I wish he was doing interiors as well.
"The conceit of this storyline, as it relates to Fenix, is that the disasters of the world have swelled the ranks of the already considerable FTRA [Freight Train Riders of America] population because they have basically disenfranchised the youth of America and the world from their future. Why not live for today, be nomadic? There's nothing left to hold onto. She's part of that mix."
That sounds so freakin' lame. I really wish Guy Davis would leave Mike Mignola for greener and more creative pastures. Guy Davis is a monumental talent who shouldn't limit himself to just one (or two if you count Arcudi, which I don't) writer. (and a very mediocre writer at that).
I could just imagine what Guy Davis and Grant Morrison could accomplish. Guy is such a creative designer.
I glad I stopped collecting comics from the BPRD/HELLBOY universe years ago.
I'm the opposite. BPRD/HELLBOY are among the few titles I do collect anymore. John Arcudi recently wrote a compelling GN called A God Somewhere. And Guy Davis seems happy and proud to be working with Arcudi, Mignola and Dave Stewart. When he isn't working on BPRD, Guy Davis works for another great writer named Guy Davis and his title "The Marquis" is dark and brilliant.
