I am I little irked not to see a bit more info on the Leviathan organization. Seeing all the buildup to their introduction ,and their alien-esque membership that reared their fugly heads. But it's been a fun ride so far.
Now, I enjoy Secret Warriors well enough.
But with the end coming up in five issues, I have to ask:
What the heck happened to that supposedly-series-driving plot point that was the cliffhanger of the first issue - the revelation that SHILED was a branch of HYDRA? It's just been quietly ignored ever since, and has now disappeared, making the series about Fury vs HYDRA vs Leviathan, and the story of the SHIELD series itself is making the very concept pretty impossible. Wh'up?
Yeah I'm on side with this, I'm going to do a little re-reading but I'm sure this storyline has been lost completely.
On the other hand so has SHIELD being Steve Rogers (and therefore kinda without the corruption of Hydra anyway) and with Fury and his secret warriors.
I'll post again after a re-read.
I'm excited for the breakdown of the rest of the issues. Sounds great!
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
Definitely excited for the rest of the series. It kinda sucks that many of these smaller details have been cut, but the series has been pretty awesome for the most part, and it's good to hear that Vitti will be finishing it off. And the Druid is coming back! Yay!

Ah, so Phobos dies. I knew Marvel couldn't resist killing another kid.
Everyone was prophesied to die at some point on this title right?
Anyway I only like Daisy and JT sad to see hes going to die
Currrently Reading- Suicide Squad,Justice League,Animal Man,Batwoman,Batman:The Dark Knight,Batman,Batman and Robin,Detective Comics, Wonder Woman and Jonah Hex
Shield plot was probably dropped because shield doesn't really exist anymore. Steve basically cleared them out because he believes the world need heroes not shield agents.
Not sad to see JT die though when it happens, its the fate of all traitors. Sell out the team to save your gf and death is your reward.

Sling shot was prophesied to get seriously hurt, but it would allow Sledge to take care of her and they'd kinda fall in love. Not sure if that happened yet but they are very close.
smoke em if you got em
Phobos never said they'd fall in love- only that Yo's getting hurt would let Sledge become all he could be or somesuch- which he did when he went all "giant bad mofo" on Gorgon a few issues later!
Issue 25 is the one I'm waiting for- the one that explains the whole Zodiac Wheel thing and how Fury, Strucker and Orion fit into it all.
Also, I'm hoping Hickman explains exactly WTF is up with Kracken!
When was the old Kracken replaced, how does he know Fury and what's his whole deal?
I'm in the disapointed group regarding Leviathian not getting developed- you can really tell there's a year or more of story ideas that never got developed.
Also, what's with the Grey and Black teams? It's like we need a whole second series after thsi one to focus on those badasses!
Tension, Apprehension, and Dissension have begun.
I'm disappointed that they are going to leave out some topics I wanted to see touched on, but it's hard to put into words how much I've enjoyed this book. I really don't want it to end. I love Nick Fury. He is one of my all time favorite characters and to see what Hickman has done with him is amazing. Nick has taken some losses in his day, but you can really see the toll this has taken on him. For a man that has gone through so much and so many wars, that's saying alot. It's weird to say I can't wait for the next issue, but upset because I know it's bringing it closer to the end. To me this is one of the all time greatest runs in the history of comics and try to recommend this book to anyone I meet.
"That's not just "one man"! That's TONY FREAKING STARK. You're intel should've warned us that he was James Bond and "Q" wrapped in the same guy!" Cobra
