Any news about the mobile options in the upgrade?

We are actively working on iOS and Android Aps for the CBR Forums. Once this is completed, we'll turn our focus toward the mobile browser version of the CBR Forums.

    Thanks.

Once you get the apps completed no one will care about a mobile version of the forums. Only reason a mobile version is even being asked about is so that we have a mobile friendly skin to view the forum with on a phone. If you get an app that works like a forum reader app the mobile skin becomes irreverent for 95% of the members in this thread.

That's actually not true -- there are plenty of casual visitors to the CBR forums who use mobile devices who won't be interested in using the app, so having a mobile version is important and will get used. Having all options open to our readers is something we're very interested in and working on.

I came here planning to ask if you guys were going to implement Tapatalk but an app is potentially way better. Looking forward to it :)

I was thinking it would be awesome to have a CBR forum app! And apparently Jonah agrees! Very excited to see the finished product.

Couldn't you add the mobile forum code for now?? It's just a simple change.

I look forward to both the official app and the tapatalk mobile forum code. Just in case i'm not a fan of one there would be another to fall back on. Hope yall are making progress on this!

Well, vBulletin already has a Mobile Suite, so it shouldn't be too hard to get the framework going unless they want to extremely customize it.

It's literally a 5 minute job. I don't really understand why the admins don't implement this even for the time being until the CBR "app" is ready.

Well, it costs money to get licenses for the software and maybe they want to have it very customized too. If it's a big issue for the mobile browsers on your end, then you could install a few different browsers to see what works best.

No licences needed for the Tapatalk software - just a couple of lines of code added to the site via admin.

All at nil cost which would allow us to use the Tapatalk mobile forum software.
