I don't really get the sentiment that they're not preparing for the future, he explicitly said that they are reviewing their options for mobile applications for for future implementation, but due to low demand it wasn't currently the top priority.

    That seems reasonable to me.

They could perhaps add the TapaTalk plugin to the forum for now (it only takes a few minutes remember) and then replace it if they come up with a better mobile solution down the line?

There's clearly the demand for this - whether it's high or low on the priority list or not I wouldn't have said matters when it's such a quick and easy system to implement.

    Fingers still crossed.

If it's low on the priority list it doesn't really matter if it's a quick add...because it' low on the lit of improvements they plan on implementing. I don't have a hand in running this site, nor have I ever managed one so large but from my experience there are always a hundred and one things that need to be done, and you do the high priority ones first and gradually work your way down to the low priority cosmetic things like mobile features.

I don't get why that's hard to grasp.

What would you like to change/improve? I will see what I can do.

Is there an Android version of your app, or is it only for iPhone?

It is iOS only, at present.

Only a couple of things spring to mind:

    1. A search feature would be good
    2. On some multiple page threads the app doesn't always show the latest replies. Doesn't happen on all threads though.

It's a great app though. The fact it doesn't need any plugin code is a big win.

If you was to "borow" a few features from the Tapatalk app it would equal if not better it easy.

Do you have a specific thread with that problem where I can take a look? I would love to try and resolve it. Thanks!

Need to be able to subscribe to a thread also. And get the subscribe options - daily email, immediate email etc.

Plus the Comic Collector Live forum doesn't work (http://www.comiccollectorlive.com/forum/default.aspx)

definitely want to put my vote in for a mobile app or tapatalk... I know that it isn't high on the list of priorities, but anyone who reads the ad stats can see that mobile will overtake desktop in a few years.

Lots of cool sites that have mobile capabilities... wish my favorite site was among them!

I’d definitely like to second this… a CBR app for the IPhone would be great for on-the-go users.

If CBR had Android and Iphone apps, that would cover probably 75% of mobile web users...

    Folks,

After Comic-Con, we're going to evaluate our options when it comes to these message boards and mobile browsing of the forums. We're running on an old version of vBulletin, so an upgrade is definitely in need which comes with a LOT of changes (new template design, ad code optimization, server optimization, etc.). It's something we'll investigate more of in late August and September.
